Gold Coast City Council offers free WiFi in selected public libraries – I know of the Broadbeach branch for sure.

Also, Queensland Government offers free unlimited WiFi throughout the State Library in Southbank.

My council – Canterbury City Council, also provides free wifi access at their public libraries around the council.

Thanks for organising the complimentary wireless at web directions. I am 100 percent behind widening the free wireless network here in Australia. I have been running a meraki powered wireless network in Redfern Sydney now for several months. It has 6 active nodes and is growing. The SSID is ‘noworries’, more info at http://noworries.net.au
